Thanks for collecting the sample. The 5-second data does display the correct 5-second time stamps here. However the data covers five hours only. The rest of the bars are 30-seconds. Downloading a full day of data in real time through TWS will be difficult. TWS automatically closes down every day. While always downloading data in real time may solve the problem it's not practical because one would need to be connected 24-hours a day and even then would have to download portions of data as historical bars. Another possibility is Sierra Chart is interpreting 5-second timestamps correctly at the level of the Intraday Editor. The problem is in the translation to the time line display in the chart. Please see the attached picture illustrating data from the sample in post #4. This is true for every bar of data that has appeared to be out of the normal sequence.

The picture in the previous post is of version 982. Installed the latest version 997 and TWS 936.9 g. Unfortunately the discrepancy continues. Does the Intraday Editor represent data as it really is on disk? If that is true it would follow that the chart would represent the same values. A misrepresentation of recorded data is occurring.

Do you mean you see different time values in the Intraday Data Editor compared to what you see on the chart?. If the chart is set to 1 second or tick per bar, you should see a match. Yes, there are different time values between the two. The Intraday Editor time values remain good at all times. Times values in the main chart can be good or bad. The chart is 1 second per bar and the Session Start Time is 00:00:00. The picture in post #27 illustrates the difference in one bar.

Attached is a Chartbook with one data file of one day of data. The time zone is New York. The transition from good to bad time values in the chart window occurs at the bar following 07:50:40.0 on 2013-07-19.
