I have what I thought was a fairly simple question but I am just not finding an answer by searching for it. I have an auto trade system worked out. I usually trade SPY but it can work for any stock obviously. I would like to trade SPY options. Is it possible to use the signals generated in the trade spreadsheet and trade a different security than the one used in the signal generations. Can I chart SPY and trade SPY options? I have thought about having a couple sheets going and cross-linking the two to generate signals, but would prefer a better approach. Thanks for the help. I am just not seeing this. |

This is possible. Set the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Trade and Current Quote Symbol to the options symbol for the chart that contains the automated trading system. This will cause the current Quote Data you see in Window >> Current Quote Window to use the option pricing but the chart bars will be based upon the underlying symbol.
