default DOM scale setting

When I change symbols, the DOM resets to a default constant range scaling of showing about 50-60 ticks on my 1920x1200 monitor. I'd ideally like it to be a little tighter (i.e., show a larger range, maybe 70-80 ticks). Is there a way to set the default? When I get the spacing right and change symbols, it reverts.
