I have two charts which I have set both to link symbol (L1). However, they are not recognizing each other when I change the symbol. I can't seem to find an explanation for it. I have tried them both detached and now attached but that did not solve the issue.

Here is the documentation for Chart Linking:
https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_WorkingWithCharts.html#ChartLinking

Make sure for each of these charts that you enable the Chart Linking >> Link Symbol option.

And they also need to be in the same Chartbook.

Ok so just to be clear, the two charts must actually be within the same chart book (aka i cant detach them and put on another monitor)?

They can certainly be detached. But they do need to be within the same Chartbook. However, a chart can be detached and part of the active chartbook.

Another problem is you may have enabled Window >>Window Always Visible for the chart and it can be confusing as to what Chartbook it belongs to.

Yes this is the issue thank you. I now have about 15 charts that have been detached and are viewable across chartbooks, but am now not sure which chartbook they belong to. Not to belabor this issue but how would you recommend I set them all to the same chart-book?
