Would it be possible to add a CYN/USD pair to the Bitcoin Data Services?

Unrelated, but I'm curious about progress on the DTC unification layer for Bitcoin trading. Have you heard anything?

Also unrelated: I changed my service package to 3 a while back, (so I could see what the market depth data looks like,) but now I can't change it back to package 1. The only options offered in the "change service package" field are 3, and 5.

We have changed your Sierra Chart Service Package back to 1. Also service Package 1 does support market depth data.

There are several supported Bitcoin exchanges. For what Bitcoin exchange do you want to see CYN/USD data from?

Thank you! Yes, It was the bid/ask bars, not the depth data that I had been looking at.

CYN/USD:
Actually, the reason I brought this up was I realized I could replicate OKCoin's Future's Index pretty closely (minus Huobi exchange) but two of the components are CYN markets and would need to be converted on-the-fly to USD in order to be merged with the other exchanges into a tick index. Also, I could use the live CYN/USD exchange rate to calculate position sizing and P/L in $US when trading on BTCChina or OKCoin's BTCCYN exchange. I don't think it matters where the exchange rate comes from, it just needs to be available from the same relay server that's providing the Bitcoin data.

--------

I'd like to mention that Ward Systems Group, which makes the trading software I use (Neuroshell Trader,) is looking into adding a Bitcoin data feed. I wrote them quite a lengthy email describing the many advantages of writing a DTC client plug-in - which could use SC's relay server - for this purpose. It wouldn't solve the need for live-trading, but it's still a huge step forward.

I think Rythmic, TeleTrader and the relay server are the only DTC server's the plug-in could potentially access at this time, but I tried to make a good case that a DTC client would provide not only high quality historical and live Bitcoin data but that it would also allow Ward's customer's access to a larger variety of data service options (specifically Sierra Engineering's data feeds,) and hopefully it would work as a pretty universal client when DTC servers become more common.

Feel free to contact them if you'd like to help influence their decision to use DTC. If you tell them I (Scott Wright) suggested the contact, they'll know immediately what you're contacting them about. :-) Marge Sherald CEO/Salesperson/Support sales@wardsystems.com

Use the SC Forex Data Service:
Sierra Chart Real Time and Historical Forex and CFD Data Service

Have a look at the USDCNH symbol to see if that gives you the rate you need. We might be able to make that particular pair available when using the Bitcoin Data Service.

Thank you for the information about Ward Systems.
