Hello, I recieved an email from FXCM API team below. Please tell me if I need to take any actions or setttings changes? Thank you- ........................... Dear Customer We are going to split the existing sessions to Price and Order separately to be more in line with FIX industry standard. What will be changed. 1. Session with MD_ is market Data price stream, session without MD_ is order/trading session. 2. Send market data request and get MD on MD session and place order and get execution reports via order session. 3. cannot place orders in MD session. cannot receive execution reports in MD session, no matter where the order is placed, via order session or via TSII GUI. 4. On the order sessions there should be no price subscription, if subscribe you will not get any price. 5. With more than 1 order session, execution reports will still been shared on all lived order sessions. 6. Except the session split, there are no other changes. 7. If you have already used two sessions. Then there is no required work from your side. you just need to replace your existing price session with new MD session, something like MD_your login number_xxxx 8. please reply back if you do need a demo account to test, we will provide the test FIX credentials and test cases. 9. when the final release been decided, we will broadcast to all clients. We are targeting in early Jan 2015 based on how it goes. Example sessions look like this Trading session: SocketConnectHost=fixdemo2.fxcorporate.com SocketConnectPort=80 SenderCompID= d101970017_client1 TargetCompID=FXCM TargetSubID=U100D1 Prices session (can’t be used for trading): SocketConnectHost=fixdemo.fxcorporate.com SocketConnectPort=9001 SenderCompID=MD_d101970017_client1 TargetCompID=FXCM TargetSubID=U100D1 If you have any questions, please mail to api@fxcm.com. |
