Hi guys, can you please try to help me out with the below issue? Everytime I trade everything goes fine but then, for example the next day, when I want to do a backtesting, the bars from the previous days appear on different places, the values are different, different time, etc. Please see attached printscreen. Thanks

Make sure you enable Chart >> Chart Settings >>New Bar at Session Start in order to have stable bars.

This one is enabled. I have also reinstalled and redownloaded sierra chart but keep getting the same wrong data.

Are you re-downloading the data in the chart and then you notice this problem?

We also see you are using a Volume Per Bar chart. This type of chart bar with Interactive Brokers data will not be accurate.

Yes, I have re-downloaded the data because the data I had were incorrect. But this didnt work.

With regard to Volume Per Bar chart I have never had problems with this. This all started about a week ago. I always went back to history the the bars, their time and values were absolutely fine. Now, when I am trading the data is fine but when I close sierra and open it the next day to check my trades and maybe improve my strategy, the bars appear with different times and values.

If you have New Bar at Session Start enabled and you do not re-download any past historical data, whenever you reload the chart data or open the Chartbook, the existing chart bars should not change. It does not make any sense that they would change with Volume bars.

If you are re-downloading data, you will absolutely notice a change. That cannot be avoided with Interactive Brokers data.

The only solution to that is to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed:

And make sure you have a tick by tick data configuration:
