Parallel Rays on small timeframes invisible on higher

Example if I have a 40sec chart and 10,20,30min charts, and I draw parallel rays on the 40sec, it may or may not appear on the 10, 20, or 30 min charts, even if all charts are linked and there are no problems with graphical objects replicating on all linked charts.

Confusingly, it doesn't seem to fit the be due to the Y-axis scale being to small to accomodate the narrow price range of the rays. Because sometimes the rays may copy over to the 30min but not the 10 and 20 min chart, in this example. In other examples it may not copy to 5min chart but will to 60min chart, etc etc.

How do I tweak the settings so this can just replicate as normal, if not to show the ouble line at least the one line to display there were rays put there on the 40sec chart and the higher timeframe scale cannot accomodate both rays. At the moment the charts which cannot display them only yield a blank, which can be very confusing.

We have done some testing with this and we do not see a problem with the copying of Parallel Rays between a 40 second chart and a 10 minute chart.

Possibly there are out of order timestamps in the chart.

Here are screenshots to explain.

1), 2) and 3) were rays drawn on the 20sec chart. The narrow rays did not copy over to any chart. The wider rays copied over to the 5minute chart but nothing else

4) and 5) were rays drawn on the 5min chart. Narrow rays copied over only to the 20sec chart. Wider rays successfully copied over to all charts, and so were the only true function out of all 5 examples. This is my problem when in-trading.

Now finally realize what the problem is. It is documented here:

Thank you for finding the problem. However I hope you can sense my frustration as a little niggle like this can be very disheartening when in high leverage trades and suddenly you're wondering if you even drew the level of interest or not. Also note how a simple horizontal ray does not come up with this problem. I can place one on a 1 second chart and it will appear on the daily chart. If I draw two together, imitating what I would want to do with the parallel ray tool, it will display it as a single line on the daily chart still. Which is perfect. Is there any way you can fix this within the next few weeks, as all the rays need to do is recognise when there is a problem on a higher timeframe due to the price difference between the two rays being too small, and just present themselves as one horizontal rayed line.

This is what occurs in other charting software, and apart from this glitch, I would say you have the complete charting software package, thus I would commend you to fix this problem.

We do not regard this as being something to fix. It works as designed. The problem does not relate to the price difference. It has to do with the number of bars that they span.

This should be addressed in ver 1212 for horizontal parallel lines.

Thank you I look forward to it. Although it works as designed it is still fundamentally flawed as my screenshots describe. Additionally, the problem being anomalous compared to other charting software lends itself to it being regarded as a 'bug', from a user point of view.
