When I go to...

Global Settings->Customize Chart Drawing Menu

There are two available items.... Flip Horizontal and Flip Vertical. But when I add them to the Selected Menu Items they don't actually appear in the Menu when a drawing is highlighted.

Do they only work with particular drawings or are these tool items redundant ..?

I have asked in the past whether it was possible to add a feature to 'flip' drawings (i.e for symmetrical triangles) and it appears you were thinking of doing it and now that I see them in the menu....

The Flip commands are currently only valid for pitchfork chart drawings.

Some drawings do not make sense to flip, but some additional drawings could be added. For example, lines could be flipped.

Complex drawings made out of multiple chart drawings, would not be flip-able as a group (i.e. zig zag).

If you could add the Flip feature to the 'Line' drawing that would be great.

Just an example of many for flipping lines...
For symmetrical triangles, if a rising, supporting trendline looks uncertain (with lows and closes criss-crossing) you can generally use the falling resistance line (mirrored) to help out with the opposing trendline (and vice-versa). I'd also find flipping lines helpful for some of the harmonic side of things, particular reversals points.

In ver 1210, we have added ability to do horiz/vert flip on lines, parallel lines, and fans. This can be accomplished from the chart drawing menu or from the Anchor tab of the Chart Drawing Properties dialog.
