Dear SC,
Dear all,

Regarding the planned update on September 26th, I have the following question:
Is there an easy way to recompile the Custom Study in Sierra Chart?
Can this also be done using a Sierra Chart compiler?

Thank you in advance for your help!

It's as easy as the same compile technique you did to create the custom study in the first place.

All custom study developers should have been following the thread on these changes announced ~10 months ago, Upcoming Development and Internal Number Precision Improvement Project | Post: 443499, and looking at the Sierra samples in \SierraChart\ACS_Source\ for guidance on changes to support this and what structs and API are changing. There is absolutely no reason to be negatively affected by these most-welcomed changes to Sierra Chart. Any updates to custom studies should be straightforward because of the approach Sierra has taken on this.

When Sierra updates their headers, the remote compiler will use the new headers and a rebuild will generate an updated custom study compatible with the corresponding release and architecture.

Just a quick question so I can plan a little:
Will the critical update be released on the weekend of September 26, 2026?
