Add Additional Symbol study - volume data stops updating

Hi, I use the Add Additional Symbol study to plot the volume for the Mini Nikkei futures onto the price chart of the Micro Nikkei. A few times throughout most days, the volume for the Mini stops updating (sometimes for up to a minute or more). I have a basic chart of the Mini Nikkei in the same chartbook and when I check it, the volume is updating but not on the Micro chart where I have added the Mini symbol. Any thoughts why this is happening? |

Are you doing the following: - Add "Add Additional Symbol" for the Mini Nikkei to a chart for the Micro Nikkei - Add a "Volume" study to the Micro Nikkei chart and set the "Based On" to the "Add Additional Symbol" study Or are you doing something different. If you are doing the above, then this should work. The only thing we can think of that might cause an issue is that the "Volume" study needs to be below the "Add Additional Symbol" study in the List of Studies to Graph. This ensures that the Add Additional Symbol study is updated first, then the Volume can get pulled from that properly. I can confirm that the Symbol and Volume studies have been added in that manner and that the Volume study sits below the added Symbol study in the Studies to Graph list.

The only thing we can think of is that you have the "Chart Update Interval" set higher in the Micro chart than in the Mini chart. So the Mini is updating and the Micro is not. But this would be very surprising and should not be set in a way that it would be as long as a minute. Still, check the Chart Update Intervals for the two charts and see if they are set drastically different from one another. We would like for you to try the following: - Add the "Volume" study to the Mini chart. - Add the "Study/Price Overlay" study to the Micro chart and overlay the "Volume" study from the Mini chart. See if the Study/Price Overlay updates while the "Study Subgraph Reference" does not. Or if they both have the same issue.
