In Chart Settings > Alerts I am unable to paste text into the alert box. It all has to be manually typed in. I can copy the text that's in there and paste it to notepad, etc but I can't copy from notepad and paste it in there? Is there are reason this might be happening other than it's not part of the SC code? |

You can access all of these commands by right clicking over that text box. Furthermore, you may have set up a keyboard shortcut within Sierra Chart which is conflicting with this.

This is interesting. This can only be a Windows operating system problem. We do not see an issue with this in our own testing.

Okay. Thanks. Really strange thing is I can copy any text in the alert syntax box and then paste it to notepad. Just doesn't work the other way around. Think it's something in SC but may be due to something I modified (though I'm completely in the dark about what that might be) Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-11-04 22:08:37

This sure looks like an operating system related issue to us. That particular text box and the right-click menu, are all provided by the operating system. And there should not be anything within Sierra Chart which should prevent that from working.
