Recommendations on best Windows version to run Sierra through Mac/Parallels?

Hi - Been using a Mac with Parallels running WinXP; will be upgrading to a new Mac and trying to decide between Win7, which I like, or Win 8.1. Any thoughts on which OS works better with Sierra? - thanks
