Volume By Price Profile Does Not Reset at 9:30 RTH Start

Hello, I’m using Sierra Chart version 2929 64-bit on an MNQ intraday chart. I’m using a separate Volume by Price study with Volume Graph Period Type = From Session Start Time to End. My goal is to create a developing session volume profile for the RTH hours separate from the overnight hours. My session times are: Day session: 9:30:00 AM – 16:14:59 Evening session: 16:15:00 PM – 9:29:59 (in study) Using "From Session Start Time- End" Use Separate Profiles for Evening Session = Yes The problem is that when replay reaches 9:30 AM, the Volume by Price profile does not start a new profile. The RTH volume continues accumulating into the overnight profile. I have tried stopping/restarting replay, using Chart → Reload and Recalculate, and recreating the Volume by Price study, but the behavior remains. I’m trying to have the overnight profile end at 9:29:59 AM and have a completely new RTH Volume by Price profile begin at exactly 9:30 AM. Could you please let me know which setting controls this behavior, or if this is expected behavior? Thank you. |

In this particular case the Session Start means the start of the trading day. For what you want, use this Period Type with the related Inputs set to 1 Day: Volume By Price Study: Multiple Profiles Based on Fixed Time And to limit the number of profiles in the chart, use this Input: Volume By Price Study: Number of Days To Calculate Volume Profiles This really is the only way to do it.
