Hi, Me and my computer are in Melbourne - AEDST. Could you pls advise what settings to use to have the bottom scroll bar in my time but I want the opening time for the charts to be 5pm New York time. I have fiddled around with lots of settings. I have my session times at start 9am and finish 8.59am. In advanced settings 2 I have the time zone set to Sydney. but when I enable the veritcal grid line (set to "session start") on the chart, I end up with two vertical lines on the weekend - one at 6.30am and the other 9am my time. (9am my time is 5pm NY). Would really appreciate your help - thanks - Cathy

It is hard for us to understand this unless we see an image of the chart. The green and red lines on the chart are yesterdays highs and lows. As you can see on Monday these lines are in the wrong spot because of the extra bars between the 2 vertical lines. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1415161004480.png |

We have now looked into this. With the Daily OHLC study set the Use Saturday Data Input to Yes. See if this solves the problem you are having. I changed the "use Saturday Data" input to yes on the ohlc but this did not fix the problem. I was having the problem with the 2 vertical lines before I put any studies on the chart?

Therefore, we are not understanding the specific problem you are having. Keep the Use Saturday Data input on and post another image of the chart and point out one specific issue that does not look right to you. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1415683726383.png Hi, The delta study has gaps at close and open of each day as shown in attached screenshot. I mentioned the time zone settings I am using in my first post. Pls confirm these are correct. As I only downloaded Sierra about a week ago. I am unable to see any specific issues that do not look right as I am unfamiliar with the platform. Once this problem is sorted am I able to get an extension of the free trial as it has seemed pointless using the charts when the indicators are not right. Thanks - CAthy |

There is no right or wrong for the Session Times. You can find complete documentation for setting them here: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_SessionTimes.php Although it might be best to set them to the London time zone. However, this is up to you. If you do not want the Cumulative Delta Bars study to reset at the start of each trading day, then set the Reset at Start of Trading Day Input with the study to No. We have given you a trial extension. My original problem has not been solved !! I still have the two vertical lines on the weekends. As you can see from the charts I have previously sent you, the yesterdays highs and lows (green and red lines) are wrong on Mondays. I am unable to use the daily pivot either as these two vertical lines on the weekend are throwing out the calculations for the pivots. Please help as I am getting frustrated this is taking so long to resolve. This problem is preventing me from setting up the charts with my preferred indicators.

Set the time zone to London time. Here are the instructions: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/doc_TimeZone.html For the Session Times for the chart use a Start Time of 22:00:00 and an End Time of 21:59:59. Also in Chart Settings uncheck Load Weekend Data. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
