Is there a way for the Study Name Label to automatically use the symbol that is entered into the study? I know I can manually set the Short Name, but I change the symbols in these Additional Symbol studies quite frequently. I'm hoping there is a way for the study name to automatically update to match the current symbol so I don't have to manually edit the Short Name each time.

Is this currently possible?

There is no direct support for what you are asking for.

But we are wondering if there may be a way to get close to what you want using other tools. But, we need to understand how you are using the study "Short Name", as the "Add Addtional Symbol" study already sets the Study Name to be "Symbol: [entered symbol]", so the specific symbol is already showing in the region header (if set to display) and we are not sure where else you would be wanting to use this.

I am using short name to write symbol on right of each chart drawing. See attached chart picture.

What you are doing is fairly specific to your setup, so we are hesitant to say that we would add this to our list of Feature Requests.

And, in looking into this a bit, it would seem the best setup would be to add an option to the Add Additional Symbol to copy the Symbol to the Short Name for each of the Open/High/Low/Close(Last).

If some additional people state that this is something they could use, then we will add this as a Feature Request.

We would recommend looking at the "Study Subgraph Reference" as you could then create a new study that references the Last subgraph of the Add Additional Symbol and then you can pull the information that is set for the "Symbol" Input for that study to populate in your study and then display the Name Label to the right for that study.
