I am using a 2000 tick chart. I have Bar Time Duration and Color Background Based on Alert Condition in the same sub region. In this specific chart, the Bar Time Duration study is ID29. I have tried using various alert conditions for the Color Background Based on Alert study with the aid of suggestions from Google Gemini. I want to trigger on bar close when a bar's duration time is below 1 minute 30 seconds. The Color Background Based on Alert Conditions triggers on numerous bar duration times exceeding 1 minute 30 seconds. Here is the most current condition configuration I have tried =AND( ID29.SG1 > TIME(0, 0,1), ID29.SG1 <= TIME(0, 1, 30)) I have tried a number of variations with and without the AND. There are numerous bars in my chart where this incorrectly triggers. I have examples where it triggers on 1:45 and 3:45 bar time durations and bars where is works with 1:32. I view these bar duration values from the Chart Values Tool window. I have tried using the Alert Condition, Use full precision when evaluating check box as well as Evaluation on Close. I have tried to configure the Settings and Inputs Value formats for both studies accordingly. I recalculate the chart after changes but still no changes, same incorrect triggers alters appear (back ground color changes). Any suggestions on how to better control this?

UPDATE: I noticed something when zooming in and out. When I zoom way the chart visually is correct. A little more info will help to explain... I have two Color Background Based on Alert Conditions studies in the region, both based on the same Bar Time Duration study value. One sets a red background and the other sets a green one. I set it green when the bar duration time is below desired duration time and red when above. During the creation of this combination I tried using a draw type other than Background for the Color Background Based on Alert Condition studies. During that testing I increased the line width to a value of 60. I then set this back to Background draw type but the 60 line width value remained. Noticing zooming affected the visualization, making the alerts backgrounds appear as expected, I changed the line width back to the default of 1. With the line width set to 1 all is working as expected verified by checking the bar duration time from the chart values tools window. I wanted to provide my solution in effort to help others.
