Lower Memory Footprint

On a daily basis, I need to have several chart books open as I do my trading. Although I do run in a Window's virtual machine on a Mac, I have given the virtual machine 12GB of RAM to work with. Yet I am constantly maxing out the RAM on my Windows instance. Most of my charts in my chart book have only 100 days worth of history with at least one chart in each chart book having a few years worth of history. The only exception to this are my chart books where the week and day charts have a few thousand days by default. How can I lower my memory footprint? I feel like I have reduced the amount of days loaded the best I can. What else can I do? |
