I finally figured out how to set the tick increments to 4 ticks for most of the dom. the only problem im having now is the VBP, everytime i change ticks per volume bar to 4 it always reverts back to one. ive tried almost everything and every time it doesnt stick to 4 ticks.

This is unusual but it must relate to what is described here: Volume By Price Study: Ticks Per Volume Bar Relevant information: When the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Volume at Price Multiplier is set to a value other than 1, then the Ticks Per Volume Bar setting needs to match it or be a multiple of it. For example, if the Volume at Price Multiplier is set to 5, then set Ticks Per Volume Bar also to 5 or a higher even multiple like 10 or 15.
If you find that the Ticks Per Volume Bar setting changes from the value you set it at, this is because the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Volume at Price Multiplier is set to a value other than 1 and it is automatically being changed to a multiple of the Volume at Price Multiplier. I have already checked that, its set to one for intraday charts. ive also set as independent VP for TPO to "yes", as well as tried clicking on another input to lock in the 4 but no matter what it always reverts back to 1

Trading DOMs always set the "Ticks per Volume Bar" to be the value set in "Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume by Price Multiplier". Therefore, change the setting for "Volume by Price Multiplier" to what you want and the Volume by Price will follow. Refer to the following: Chart Settings: Volume at Price Multiplier for Historical/Intraday Chart (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Chart Data >> Volume at Price menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
