Hello. Thank you for your reply. I tested Window >> Windows and Chartbooks and moving Chart #3 up or down only changes its position in the list. It does not change which chart is the main Chartbook window. My problem is different. The Chartbook main window (the one with the File, Edit, Chart, Analysis, Trade menus) is attached to Chart #3. I want that main Chartbook window to be attached to Chart #1 instead of Chart #3. How can I change which chart is the Chartbook main window? Thank you. |

In response to post #2, you are not thinking of how Sierra Chart is setup properly. There is no "chart" that drives the software. There is a Main Window for the Sierra Chart software, and you can view charts within that window either as individual items or with a single chart maximized within it. You will always have ALL of the menu items on that main window, in particular the "File" menu. You can have "detached" charts, which are separate from the main window. These will NOT have a "File" menu on them, but will start with Edit, and have the others. These are just separate chart windows that are not contained within the main Sierra Chart window. Hola. Gracias. |

From Google Translate: Hello.
I have undocked chart number 3, leaving the main Sierra Chart window empty, though it still retains the "File" menu. My goal is to have chart number 1 appear inside that empty main window instead of chart number 3. Is there an official way to choose which chart appears within the main Sierra Chart window? I do not want to switch Chartbooks or create a new one, nor do I want to change the content of the charts. I simply want to change which chart is displayed in the main window. If possible, please provide the exact steps to do this. Thank you. We are not really understanding the situation. In the image you provide, you have a single chart (Chart #1) maximized to fill the entire monitor. That particular chart is a detached chart, as there is no "File" menu item on it. If you select your "Sierra Chart" icon in the task bar at the bottom, you will see at least two different windows listed, one for that detached chart and one for the main Sierra Chart program. If you bring up that Sierra Chart program then you will see the chartbooks and charts that are still attached to that main program. -- With regards to the question about the columns, that is a personal choice, so we can not give you any specifics on how to set it up.
