Hello,

I would like to limit my take profit for a specific account. The Global Profit/Loss Management function says it's disabled on Sim Account. How do I test this on Sim accounts before trying it on live accounts?

Thanks,

The "Global Profit/Loss Management" tool that is built into Sierra Chart works for Simulation accounts (i.e. Simulation Mode).

It sounds like you do not have it fully setup, so it is not currently "working" to close you out when you reach a certain profit level. In other words, you need to enable the option for "Flatten Positions when Profit Rules Met" in order for it to monitor your profits and then flatten when you reach your desired level.

Refer to the information for how to use this at the following link:

Okay, I got it working. I needed to enable the function. However, I had it set to $1,515 and it flattened at $1,485. Is there a way to make it more accurate?

Thanks,

It should have sent the Flatten command fairly quickly once the proper parameters occurred. You can check the time of the Flatten order in your Trade Activity Log.

More than likely you just saw some slippage in the market from the time the order was generated until it filled on the market.
