Hi S.C. Support, I am getting errors on a spreadsheet converted from the old format before. It was intermittent and I do not know what caused it. 1) Was able to use without error while running some simulated trades in real time. But after the chart is saved and closed, then reopen, I would see "#REF!" and "#Syntax!" errors on cells. 2) These cells have references specifically to other sheets. In the past, after I change a character in the formula (like changing Sheet5 to lower case sheet5, the #ref! would go away, but it does not make sense to me why. 3)the one in my sheet 1 K3 cell is behind the #REF! error is just as simple as: =AND(sheet5!K3), and in Sheet 1's L3 behind the current #REF! is: =OR(And(sheet5!M3,$J$10>=8),$J$10/$J$26<=-sheet3!$J$337) These are simple formulas and I do not know why I get these #Ref! filled up in my K, L columns when I re-open a previous working .scss file. 4) When I open this existing chart with the .scss file, or close the chart file, I see something flashing as ss1, ss2 (like a empty spreadsheet window) along the way, not sure why I see those windows labeled with ss1,ss2. Running version 1205 non-clr. Thanks. |

Just ran more tests on the spreadsheet. 1) Remove chart 2 (using sheet 2 as spreadsheet trading system) and other charts, with sheet 1 (spreadsheet trading system) and sheet 5 (spreadsheet alert) active. 2) Fixed the #ref! in sheet 1 K3 (formula =AND(Sheet5!BI3>0,Q3) ) by changing the case of "s" in "Sheet5!BI33>0, to get the right true/false result. Then save the spreadsheet alone first. 3) Close the Chart and click on Yes to save the chart but "NO" to save the spreadsheet on exit. If done this way, when I reopen the chart, I do not have the #Ref! on the K column. 4) If I click "Yes" on exiting the Chart to save the spreadsheet, then reopen the chart again, I will have the #Ref! on K column with =AND(Sheet5!BI3>0,Q3) in K3, I have to type lower case "s" to get rid of the #Ref!, and can not click on "Yes" to save on exit. It seems like on the Chart Close, there may be a glitch to save the spreadsheet formula referencing other sheets within the spreadsheet. Hope this would help to reproduce the problem on your side. |

Install the latest prerelease, 1208, and let us know if you still see this problem with the reference (#REF!) error. 4) When I open this existing chart with the .scss file, or close the chart file, I see something flashing as ss1, ss2 (like a empty spreadsheet window) along the way, not sure why I see those windows labeled with ss1,ss2. Thank you for the immediate fix of the issue. I installed version 1208 pre-release and the issue is fixed, I can open the same scss files previously with #ref! without the error, save it with normal exit, and reopen it again, the #ref! is all gone without any manual correction. With regard to those ss1, ss2, ss"x" window frames flashing, I believe it only happens during the scss opening and closing as they do not stay open, I believe it is a non-issue and they are flashing the sheets opening within the spreadsheet. They last less than a second (probably loading data in the sub-sheets within) and I cannot capture the screen. Cheers! |
