Why DOM Alert is not working? Or what am I doing wrong here? 1. ES DOM 2. Click Chart menu 3. Click Alert 4. Placed alert condition as LASTTRADESIZE > 24 5. Select Sound Alert 1 ES had that plenty of single trade sizes > 24, but no sound was alerted. Why? Thank you |

The LASTTRADESIZE alert variable is only going to be tested at the "Chart Update Interval", therefore, it will only reflect the last trade at the time of the update. There are many trades that could have occurred in between the updates, so you may not actually capture every event of a trade greater than 24 in this case. The best way to get an alert when a single trade exceeds a set value is to use the "Time and Sales" window and use the Alert options in there. Refer to the following and the 6 items below it: Time and Sales Window: Highlight >> ByField Another option would be to open a chart and set it to a Bar Period of 1 trade (1 tick). Then set the Chart >> Chart Settings >> Alert to be "V > 24". You could then hide this window if you just want the alert sounds from it.
