3 issues with spreadsheets:
i am using Old spreadsheets, and using Excel. I added a spreadsheet system/alert study to chart #19.

1. Chart Data Output Sheet Number = 0 but the data appears on Sheet2 not Sheet19

2. cell D1 of Sheet 2 does not display "Formula Source Sheet #1. Enter and modify formulas for this sheet on Sheet1." (example text)

3. Formula Source Sheet Number=4 but formula in sheet4 cell O3 does not appear on Sheet 2.

TIA

1. Therefore, we cannot accept this as being true. The data must be outputted to sheet 19 based upon what you have said. Check Sheet 19.

2. This could be if Sheet 2 is not being used.

3. This make sense if sheet 19 is being used.

1. sheet 19 is absolutely blank.

2. Sheet2 *is* being used. it is the only one used.

4. also, the sheets in Excel are in reverse order i.e. the leftmost sheet in the spreadsheet is Sheet19 then decrements down to Sheet2 at right.

I tried copying it to new chart in a new chartbook and it behaves the same. then I reset to default study values, readded the study, and now it outputs only one sheet (Sheet1) to which I can add formulas. also these formulas are not being deleted upon spreadsheet refresh. so a study setting must be the culprit. thanks for your attention

note: I am using the Spreadsheet Study for Alerts.

I am still not clear on when I can write formulas on the source sheet, or when they must be entered on Sheet4. had trouble understanding the documentation.

when I copy the correctly working chart from the empty test chartbook, back to the chartbook with the 19 charts in it, it no longer works, in the following ways:

1. Sheets are numbered Sheet1, Sheet19, Sheet18.....Sheet2

2. data is on Sheet2 not Sheet19

3. formulas are not copying down, whether I enter them in Sheet4!O3 or Sheet2!O3

there seems to be a bug in Chart numbering when there are 18 other charts in the chartbook. also, study values are incorrect on this spreadsheet, too. the problem comes when the chart is put into the Chartbook with the 19 charts in it.

I am using Old Spreadsheets and I updated the platform yesterday.
please advise ASAP thanks.

further testing: the issue only happens in Excel not in native spreadsheets. however, I need to use excel.

1. In Excel, the actual data from the ZigZag study is wrong (but correct in native spreadsheet). this is a major concern!

2. I have removed most of the charts from the chartbook, yet both versions still create at least 19 sheets in their spreadsheet.

please advise

after restarting the computer, the data in Excel is now correct.

However, there are still about 20 sheets in the Spreadsheet for no reason since there are now only 3 chart windows open in this chartbook.

also, when I use native (old) spreadsheets, I cannot seem to enter certain letters in a cell. is this normal? e.g. in O3 I tried to type =if( and it would not let me.
