Full Session and RTH VWAPs - HOW TO?

I have a chart on which I wish to display both RTH VWAP (9:30AM to 4:00PM ET) and Full Session VWAP (24 hours starting at RTH Open). Currently, I accomplish this by having two other charts, one with session times set to RTH hours, and the other set to a single 24 hour session beginning at RTH open. I put the VWAP study on both, then use a study overlay to put them both on my main chart. In other words, I have to use 2 extra charts to accomplish this. Someone helped me set this up long ago, and frankly, I never really understood it. It seems a rather complex way to do it. Is there a simpler way to do this without the extra charts. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you. |

There is no other way to do this. For how you want these setup, you would have to do it the way you are doing it.

Just out of curiosity is there any way to add a starting date/time to the VWAP study? If it were possible you could also use it as an anchored VWAP which many people use. Which is another way to explain what I want to do.

There is the ability to set a "Start Date and Time", but this will not fully work for what you are wanting, since it will also reset at the start of the Evening Session. For what you want, you need to have the separate charts and have them setup in the way you do to have things resetting at the proper times for the VWAP.
