I have been unable to trade . Error keeps coming up that the amount in my account is insufficient to satisfy portfolio margin. How much do I need to have in my account to enable trading on Sierra please

You need to check with your broker. For each contract you buy long or sell short you need $X in your account. So if your account is $50,000 and your margin is $500, you should be able to trade 100 contracts. Your daytime and overnight margins are probably different, the overnight being higher due to decreased liquidity. |
