am I getting package 12 free during this "evaluation" period of package? even though pckg 12 is what I historically subscribe to?

What you state is not how it works. This is different from the Trial, where you get that for free. For the Evaluation of the highest package (Package 12 right now), you have to have a paid package and available Usage Time. Then you are able to use the system as if you have Package 12. In your case, this means that nothing is different. If you like, we can reset the evaluation, so you can use it in the future. You could always change to a less expensive package first, then turn on the evaluation, so you would save some money during that time period.
