Left side scale of main price graph unavailable for studies?

Hi, I'm trying to use the left side scale to display a study scale in region 1 where the main price graph is located. Value labels are not a problem but the scale won't budge from showing price scale only on both the left and right side scales (the normal set scale range to independent and select "use in the left side scale" doesn't work here). I've figured out a workaround where I put the main price graph into chart region 2 then use an overlay study to overlay the price graph candlesticks from Region 2 into region 1 and then apply my study in region 1. Doing this let's me get the price scale on the right and study scale on the left. Is there a better/more direct way to do this?

It sounds like what you were doing originally was correct. In order to use the Left Side scale, you need to have a study that is set to one of the options other than "Automatic" and have that study have the option for "Use in Left Side Scale" enabled. Then the left side scale will control that study. Keep in mind, only one study can be controlled by the left side scale. We are not sure what you mean by "the scale won't budge from showing price scale only on both the left and right side scales". If you are continuing to have an issue with this, then get us a chart that shows this issue, setup in the way that it is not working properly for you. Okay, I think I understand now what happened. Leaving this message here in case it might help someone in the future. Typically, you open up Chart Studies and double-click a study to open up a study settings window where you can access the scale options for the study... That's a pretty standard use case. However, using another pathway the main price graph also has scale options that can be set. Long story short the affected chart had the main price graph scale options set to use the left side scale which was overriding my attempts to have studies use the left side scale. The scale options for the main price graph can be accessed via Chart Settings -> Scale [Tab] -> "(Button)". At the top of the Value column, click "[Scale]" and a scale settings window for the main price graph will pop up.
