I use TICK as an added symbol on my NQ 1000 volume bars. I applied the True Strength Index (13/50) to TICK for smoothing, but it doesn’t seem to function correctly. I believe it may be producing inaccurate data. I attached two screenshots: the first (091319.png) is from when I initially started using the platform, and the second is after I reset the TSI settings. Here’s the tricky part—if I reset only the scale of the indicator, nothing changes. However, if I change the TSI settings (for example, from 13/50 to 3/16 or any other values) and then switch them back to 13/50, the data appears different. I also use TICK 100 volume bars and 5-second intervals, and those seem to work correctly without any issues. It appears the problem occurs specifically when TICK is added as a secondary symbol to the NQ charts. I have been experiencing and monitoring this issue for the past month or so. |

This is because, True Strength Index, uses exponential moving averages which have a small cumulative error that develops over time. And as time goes by there are more bars in the chart and when you recalculate the study because this cumulative error propagates through the study calculation, the calculation result changes. This issue is explained here: Moving Average - Exponential We are going to add a new Input to True Strength Index to control the moving average type and you would need to change it to Simple instead of Exponential. Although thinking about this some more, there really should not be a problem if the first loaded Date-Time in the chart has not changed. Anyway, it is not within the scope of our support to analyze exactly what is going on in your case, but the issue would have to do with exponential moving averages.
