i have tried a custom build trading code but when i click remote build nothing happens and i do not get a response at all if the build works

You should not be getting nothing. Is the "Build Custom Advanced Studies" window open large enough so you can view the information "Build Output" window? We had some releases where that window would open very small. You can grab a corner (or edge) and resize that window. Make sure you can view that particular area of it, then try the build again, and see what shows in the Output.
