Question regarding trading pause

Hi,

I’m planning a trip soon and may take a break from trading for a couple of months. I have a question regarding my account during this period.

Since I won’t be trading, I’d prefer not to pay for the platform or the Denali Exchange Data Feed. What happens if my account balance is insufficient next month to cover these costs?

Will I need to re-sign any agreements when I return, considering that my Denali Exchange Data Feed (CME / CBOT / NYMEX / COMEX) is currently active? Or is it simply a matter of funding my account again and resuming access to the platform and data?

In short, I’m not planning to stop trading permanently—just taking a temporary break—and I’d like to understand how this might affect my existing agreements.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If your account balance is not enough to cover the costs for the services you currently have active, then those services will be cancelled and your account put in an expired state.

It is best to be proactive about it though, and set your account to not renew ahead of time, so you are not charged for something (like an exchange fee), just due to odd timing. Refer to the following regarding "cancelling" your account:
Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Canceling

Note that you are only cancelling the services. You are not closing the account. More on this below.

No, you will not need to re-sign anything, as long as you are using the same Sierra Chart account.

Yes. It is as simple as this. Add funds, activate the service and data and you are back where you left off.

The one thing we want to enforce is that all your setups and data are stored on your local computer. We do not save anything "in the cloud" for you. So be sure to keep the Sierra Chart installation folder that you created. Doing this will ensure that you are exactly where you left off.
