hey,
i hade an discussion about whats the most realistic sim experiance, i think with the trading evaluator you should have the best results bc as you write it simulates the fills etc. but a friend of mine uses ki... and that says trading SC data on SIM mode is the most accurate bc its more "live" without the Trading evalutor server interference.

pls help settle this discussion im tired arguing against these stupid ai's

We think the "Trading Evaluator" is more realistic, particularly because it hsa the server aspect built into it. This is going to more closely resemble what occurs when you send your orders to the exchange, as there is going to be some latency to get the orders to the exchange.

Also, the Trading Evaluator takes into account the "Estimated Position in Queue" for filling an order, whereas the built-in simulation mode does not do this.

And one last item about the Trading Evaluator, is that you can open a position, and have your Target and Stop set, and then exit from Sierra Chart. The order fills will be taken care of on the Trading Evaluator, and you will see that when you open Sierra Chart again. The built-in Simulation Mode requires that the software always be running, as everything is handled right there within the software.

There are arguments to be made one way or another. But the above is our opinion.
