If you are wanting to have the "Tool Config Name" automatically used as the text associated with a line, then you need to select the tool configuration and set the option for "Copy Tool Config Name to Text" to "Yes". Note that this is only available in the Configurations (Tools >> Tool Configs). It does not show on the Properties window, which is the window you get when you right click on an existing drawing and select "Chart Drawing Properties".
