Attached compact Trade Windows slowing chartbook tabbing?

I have a number of tabbed chartbooks, each containing about 24 charts, most with custom ACSIL studies. Half the charts have attached compact Trade Windows. Been happily using much the same for years. Up to and including v2624, tabbing between the chartbooks happened virtually instantaneously; ie the expected impressive SC performance. Updating to v2883, with the same setups, tabbing between chartbooks is a lot slower. Not death march slow, but to the point of being a most unwelcome distraction not conducive to trading. I’ve tested in v2883 on the same chartbooks but with totally clean charts and retaining the attached compact Trade Windows. Still slow. However, remove the attached compact Trade Windows, and tabbing between chartbooks is back to virtually instantaneous. On closer inspection, I note when tabbing between chartbooks in v2624 the attached compact Trade Windows display immediately, as compact. But, in v2883 the attached Trade Windows appear to draw in a larger format first before redrawing as compact. The greater the number of attached Trade Windows, the greater the impact (ie slower). This should be easily reproducible. All the above is on the same high spec PC, running Mint, Wine v10, TWS stable, same trading account, etc. I don’t use openGL. Am I missing something or has there been a software change that has degraded the normally outstanding performance when tabbing between chartbooks? |

There is a software change to decrease what is known as "windows resources". Which hurts overall performance. This is explained here: Notice: Solution to: Chart/Chartbook Tabs Visibility Issues, Portions of Chart Window Cut Off | Post: 434343 When that Trade Window is removed from Sierra Chart which we are working on and replacing it with a drastically more efficient control bar implementation, this problem will be gone.
