Hello, I am having an issue where my ES intraday charts are only loading the current contract (ESH6), whereas my NQ charts are correctly loading and displaying continuous historical data.I use Denali for data feed and Rithmic for trading. Even though "Continuous Contract" is enabled in Chart Settings, the ES chart only shows data for the ESH6 contract period and does not merge previous contracts. NQ, with the same settings, works fine. And the NQ symbol shows NQH6. Could you please advise on how to make the ES chart display continuous history from Denali while still being linked to Rithmic for trading? |

https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1772629565696.png This is the image. You can see that there is no data between 2025-4-8 and 2025-12-14. |

Please select "Edit >> Delete All Data And Download". You will be presented with a list of contracts to redownload - select the button for "Select All" and then select OK. This will redownload all the data for the chart. Since it is a continuous contract chart, it may take some time to redownload everything. But this should resolve the missing data.

Hello, Thank you for the previous instructions. I followed the steps: "Edit >> Delete All Data And Download" and selected "Select All" to redownload the data for my continuous contract chart. However, I encountered the following issues: The chart displays "Downloading Continuous Contract Data," but the process does not seem to start automatically while connected. The message log shows: "No download requests in the queue to start downloads for." The download only begins if I manually click "File >> Disconnect". Even after the download completes via the manual disconnect method, there are still significant gaps (missing data) in the chart. Also, every time I open Sierra Chart, the ES chart does not automatically connect to the Denali Data Feed (no [M] icon is displayed). The [M] icon only appears and data begins to fill after I manually click "File >> Disconnect" and then it seems to trigger a reconnection. It seems like the initial connection on startup is failing to initialize the data feed for the chart. |

The chart displays "Downloading Continuous Contract Data," but the process does not seem to start automatically while connected.
The message log shows: "No download requests in the queue to start downloads for." The message "No download requests in the queue to start downloads for" is normal and can typically be ignored. It is just a timing issue as to when that is written to the log. If you have the message for "Downloading Continuous Contract Data" then it is downloading that data. It can take awhile for the data to download depending on how much you are trying to load. But you definitely need to give it several minutes to at least get data from 2025 and forward. The download only begins if I manually click "File >> Disconnect".
This does not make any sense. If you disconnect, then nothing should occur going forward. Are you then selecting "File >> Connect to Data Feed" and then you are getting data? Also, every time I open Sierra Chart, the ES chart does not automatically connect to the Denali Data Feed (no [M] icon is displayed). The [M] icon only appears and data begins to fill after I manually click "File >> Disconnect" and then it seems to trigger a reconnection. It seems like the initial connection on startup is failing to initialize the data feed for the chart.
We are confused by this again and whether you are selecting "File >> Connect to Data Feed" and whether you are waiting long enough for the data to simply download. -- Another possibility is that you are having issues connecting to your trading service, which it looks like you have setup as Rithmic. When the trading service drops, the data will stop as well, even if it is from our Denali Exchange Data Feed. Please do the following to get us your Message Log: - Exit from Sierra Chart - Wait 5 minutes. - Start Sierra Chart and open your standard chartbook - Wait at least 5 minutes for the data to download. Do not select "File >> Disconnect" or any other options. Just let everything load. - Get us your Message Log by following these instructions: Support Board Posting Information: How to Post Your Message Log (Required In Some Cases) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
