Stochastic Momentum Indicator (SMI) Not Always Completing Lines At Close Of Bar?

I notice sometimes (maybe once or twice a day) that the Stochastic Momentum Indicator (SMI) will not always create a line when a bar closes. I have attached a photo for this showing that with one type of settings it always forms the line when a bar closes, but then with the other settings (top settings) it usually finishes the line, but not always (though will complete it after the following bar closes, therefore doing two lines at once). I have compared the same settings to a different charting application and that charting application forms the line when Sierra doesn't. How can I fix this?

We had a quick look at this. This would be the result of avoiding a division by zero condition. So the calculation does not take place. Not sure if anything can be done about this.
