Hello,

I have multiple acounts at the same broker. Up until today I have been using the drop-down window in the Trade Window to switch between accounts. Today I wanted to trade two accounts simultaneously, and so I read through the instructions for a New Instance. Before I started a New Instance, I went to Global Settings>>General Settings>>General>>New Instances and set "Use this Instance Symbol Settings in New Instance When Started" and "Always Copy Configuration Files to New Instances When Started" to YES.

I then started a New Instance by going to File>>Sub Instances>>New Instance. The new instance window opened and everything seems to load correctly regarding Global Settings and Instrument, but there is zero historical data on any chart in the 2nd Instance, Intraday or Historical, regardless of the Chart Settings for Data Limiting.

The charts on Instance 2 have all bar data starting at the exact time I opened the 2nd Instance, which was about 45 minutes ago. Since it started data has accumulated on the 2nd instance charts, so I now have about 45 minutes of data showing on all charts. Therefore, I am getting and recording live data, but not retrieving historical earlier than around 11am EST today.

I am assuming there is a Data setting I have wrong? I have been searching the Help / Support section, but not finding what I am missing. Thanks for your help.

EDIT - I am attaching a screenshot of the File>>Data/Trade Servcie Settings for the main instance ( left side) and the sub instance ( right side). The information in that section is completely different for a sub instance, so I do not understand how to match them up.

There is nothing you need to do in terms of the "Data/Trade Service Settings". The way the sub-instance will automatically be correct, unless you have multiple installations of Sierra Chart on a single computer.

You should be getting the historical data, as there is nothing that should be preventing this.

Please go through the items at the following link to get the missing historical data into your charts:
Historical Intraday Data (Missing Data / Download Errors / Viewing More Data): Downloading/Viewing More Historical Intraday Data
For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service:

One of the two (or both)has corrected the issue;

1) The Continuous Contract setting did not automatically apply in Instance 2. I changed it

2) Edit>>Delete All Data and Download, after changing to Continous.

Thanks for the help!
