Ever since I updated to version 2868 my replay function has had issues. The replay function pauses and freezes even when I am just using the standard replay and the Speed set to only 1.00. I have since updated to 2873 and the replay function has only become worse. What is the problem?

Just as a side note, ever since I updated from where I was to version 2868 or above I have had multiple issues.

I don't know what is going on but something has really changed in Sierra Charts for me since the update to version 2868 or above.

Would you recommend reverting back to a previous version or will that only make matters worse?

I am a One Up Trader whose only choice is to use a Rithmic feed into Sierra Charts.

The Replay hasn't had any changes to it in recent releases, so there is no reason for you to be having anything "new" occurring.

Still, there have been several fixes to various items in the latest releases, so please start by updating to the latest version (v 2875) and then see if you continue to have an issue.

If you do continue to have an issue, then please give us the specific setup you are using for the replay, and a little more information on what exactly is occurring - such as how long a pause occurs for, does it occur at a certain time each time, how often is it occurring over a certain timeframe, etc.

Thanks, John - SC Support.

I asked the following on 01/30/26 and never received a response so I will ask again....

What are the default settings for the Update Interval section using the OS timer management that SC has preset?

You can find this Update Interval page by going to Global Settings > General Settings > General.

We are not certain what exactly you are asking for. Are you wanting to know what the default settings are for the items in the "Update Intervals" section of the General Settings window? Or are you looking for something else related to OS Timers? IF the latter, then what exactly are you asking about?

Correct. This is all I am wanting to know.

Why are both the Timer Management Enable line and the Use OS Timer for Chart line set to Yes? I thought it was one or the other?

From the documentation:
Timer Management Enable
The following information applies to version 2719 and higher.

This setting defines whether the following two settings for Timer Management - Chart Calculation/Draw Time Multiplier for Interval Delay and Timer Management - Maximum Interval Delay in Milliseconds are used to affect the Sierra Chart timers. If this option is set to Yes and the setting for Use OS Timer for Charts is set to No, the the Timer Management settings will affect the timers as defined below.

Otherwise, if this option is set to No then the Timer Management settings will have no impact on the Sierra Chart timers and the default settings for these timers is used.

So the first choice is whether to use OS Timers, or the Sierra Chart Timers. If you use the Sierra Chart Timers, then you need to decide if you want to use the two "Timer Management" adjustment options or just use the defaults for these items.
