Hello, I am trying to determine whether there is a supported, non-ACSIL method to display a vertical line at the Date-Time of the currently forming bar, which: -Updates automatically as new bars are added -Is Date-Time based (not price based) -Extends through all chart regions (Region 1 and additional regions 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.) https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1769689765706.png The intended use is to complete a time-based session / time-zone clock, where different chart regions represent different market sessions (Asia, London, New York, overlaps). A continuously updating vertical line would visually indicate which session the current chart Date-Time is within. I understand that: -Current Price Line is price-based and horizontal only -Time Line at Time places a fixed vertical line and does not update -Vertical Line drawing tools are static and manual Before proceeding with ACSIL, I would like to confirm: -Whether any existing study or chart setting can reference the current bar Date-Time to draw a vertical marker -Whether the platform exposes a built-in “current bar” vertical reference similar in concept to the Current Price Line If not, confirmation that this functionality is only achievable via a custom ACSIL study If ACSIL is required, confirmation of the recommended approach (e.g. retrieving the current bar Date-Time and drawing a vertical line that spans all regions) would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Based on what you are asking for, the "Color Background Based on Alert Condition" sounds like the best option, although it does not display across regions - it only displays in the region in which the study is located, but you could duplicate the study once you have it setup for different regions. The alert condition would be the following to color the background from 09:30:00 to 15:59:59: =AND(BARTIME >= TIME(09, 30, 00), BARTIME <= TIME(15, 59, 59)) Refer to the following: Color Background Based on Alert Condition Otherwise, we think you would have to use a custom study to get what you want.
