Why are all my GCG6 charts displaying "Volume Symbol need Rollover. Click to Rollover for GCG6" when GCG6 still clearly is front month. I looked on the CME under contract specs for GCG6 and it is about 202K for GC which is way above of the nearest volume. How do I fix this? |

I just restarted Sierra Charts and the GCG6 needs rollover disappeared. I opened another chartbook and now SC is again, displaying that GCG6 needs rollover when GCG6 is still clearly the front month. I don't know what exactly is going on but ever since I updated to 2866 64-bit revision 55531, SC has been doing strange things. I don't know it if it Windows 11 or Sierra Charts but I do know that strange things are going on. See my prior support board post about the pointer and the crosshairs and now this yellow banner, IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CHARTS, that is displaying "[Volume] Symbol needs Rollover. Click to Rollover" when GCG6 is what my charts are on and it is clearly the front month. How do I get rid of the yellow banner that reads "[Volume] Symbol needs Rollover. Click to Rollover" ? We see why this issue has happened regarding the volume rollover notice. It is now resolved and we will have a new release out shortly.

I updated to version 2869 64-bit and revision 5563 and the "[Volume] Symbol needs Rollover. Click to Rollover" issue seems to be gone. However, I have noticed that sometimes the trade window that is attached to a Dom is disappearing when I restarted Sierra Charts this morning using 2868 and it happened again using 2869. The workaround fix it is no big thing, I just had to highlight the DOM then click on Trade and uncheck the attach trade window to chart and then select it again. So, I think there is still this issue with 2869 that was also there in 2868. When I saw this attach DOM issue on Friday, it was occurring on the ES, NQ, GC and SIL DOM on 2868. After the update to 2869, I only experienced the attach window to a DOM using symbol MCLH6. The good news is the "[Volume] Symbol needs Rollover. Click to Rollover" issue is not still happening with 2869, as of this post. I had experienced this issue on the GCG6 only. Let's hope it "stays gone". No charting service is perfect. I still think overall Sierra Charts are the best. Thanks in advance and good trading to you. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2026-01-26 20:44:36

We wonder if the Trade Window issue was some kind of holder from a previous release, particularly since it only occurred on a single chart. Please let us know if you see it again. If not, then you most likely "fixed" it by removing the option to have the trade window attached to the chart and then attaching it again.
