New Current Bid Ask Cumulative Diagonal Delta still wrong has many mistakes

Hi, Constantly checking on new versions to be able to soon get rid of Jigsaw. Love that you guys added colors of text assuming the histogram color choices coming soon they are essential. Not trying to nag but this tool is so essential to me has to be correct there are many deltas that show up that are completely wrong. Going top down the correct diagonal deltas should be 3 4 3 the 1 shouldn't be there as the 3 bid is higher than 2 ask and above the 10 ask is more than the 7 bid. the -2 should be -1 2 bid 1 ask the other -2 below should be -1 The -2 should be -3 as there is no ask traded above. I suspect not trading with it I will use the net SUM at bottom to make decisions on with frequent resets. This net count is at least 9 off. |

This looks incredibly useful and better than regular delta however the sums are often far off.

Maybe I am not understanding the diagonal calculations correctly either. See the attached file which has Cumulative Trade (CT) ask-bid, bid, ask, and diagnonal ask-bid columns (with labels). I added notes for what I thought would happen. A lot of numbers are off which makes me wonder if I do not understand the calculations Sierra is doing, or if there are errors. |

User719512 there are major errors! Diagonal means diagonal you compare BID BELOW to ASK ABOVE If you have the below the DIAGONAL is on the right. I'll number each column BID ASK DIAGONAL DELTA HIGHEST ASK - BID BELOW 16 12 7 5 9 6 3 18 (HAS TO BE BLANK BECAUSE 18 IS SMALLER THAN 20 AND 3 IS SMALLER THAN 9!!!! We need time to review this, and also the way in which, you are presenting this, is not a way in which we can work from. So please do not spend further time with all of these numbers because it is not anything we can work from. The intent is to make this identical to the Numbers Bars calculations. We need to spend the time to review that code again and make sure the documentation is accurate and make sure it is all done as it should. The current implementation should be identical the Numbers Bars but possibly there was a mistake. Although that seems unlikely. But we need to check. We need to write documentation for the current Numbers Bars Diagonal calculations implementation, and we will present that, and get user feedback on it. I've never analyzed the Numbers bars Diagonal calcs if this is the same than sadly that one is wrong too. I'll leave it be if this never works correctly will use the bid-ask delta one that is 100% perfect. It's really as simple as ABSOLUTE VALUE GREATEST of ask above - this levels bid compared to this levels Ask - below bid. Show the greatest absolute value and in some cases NOTHING is the correct choice. I'm sorry I was annoying just want this to WORK and be correct especially since most of us will use the SUM a LOT and if 20% of the numbers are wrong and can be wrong a lot the SUM will be completely useless. It will give the wrong sense of momentum and cost us a LOT of money. 5 points in NQ with 1 mini is $100! This being wrong could literally cost us $10k over time. It's like flying an airplane with hundreds of passengers if not correct just remove it will do more harm than good. This is a feature that Jigsaw DOES NOT HAVE and in my opinion its better than showing Delta which they've just put in within last year. It's how the markets work. @TopGunTrader Just go to documentation and this is what makes it clear: "The calculations are then performed for each side SEPARATELY" (my capitalization) |
