Forex issues in Trade Activity Log

I know I have posted before, and wish I could get it worked out without another post, but I am still running into very weird issues regarding trading forex and then reviewing the results in the Trade Activity Log. I have the calculate in USD set, the Currency Value set, etc, but the math is so far off it is funny. I previously thought it was only related to JPY pairs, but recently saw a huge shift (like $5 became $9,000) trading some AUD pair. It was a few weeks ago...

Can I pay for Sierra support to look at this specific issue on my computer?

Thanks.

We think the problem has to do with order fill matching within the chart that you are not seeing in the Trade Activity Log because of the particular starting date you have set in the Trade Activity Log. This is discussed in detail in help topic 81 here:

However, the easy solution is to update Sierra Chart to 1210. This should automatically correct the problem. Take note of the following information from the What is New page:
Added a new setting: Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings >> Load Order Fills for Current Day Only. When this option is enabled, the default, then order fills are only loaded for the date of the last day in the chart. The start time of the trading day is based upon the Daily Stats Reset Time in Global Settings >> General Trade Settings. The purpose of the setting is to ensure an accurate Daily Profit/Loss calculation by avoiding the matching of order fills for the current trading day with fills from prior days, when there are missing fills, which can affect the Daily Profit/Loss calculation.

To make a direct comparison, here is the P&L reporting with the pound swiss trade. There is something wrong in the JPY pairs.

Kiwi trade also calculates correctly. It is only any pair that crosses with the JPY, but there is a problem.

You need to update to the latest version of Sierra Chart which is 1211. That has this option: Load Order Fills for Current Day Only in Chart Settings.

Help topic 81:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?page=doc/helpdetails81.html

It explains why you see what you do. There is no program bug. It only has to do with order fill matching and missing fills.

I guess I will repeat my request for paid support.

I have done everything in that help topic, and I am familiar with all of those settings. I have been using Sierra for about two years.

What does not make sense is that I have no problems with any other currency pair (I trade 18 regularly) other than ones that have "JPY" in the name.

Prior to the most recent Pre-Release 1209 (which I updated to correct the P&L reporting), the issue was in the Trade Activity Log, but not in the live P&L in either the indicator "Trading Profit and Loss Text" or in the Chart Trade Window. The Pre-Release corrected the Trade Activity Log reporting, but changed the live reporting in both the indicator and the chart trade window, at least that is my experience. I trade 6 days a week, I see noticed the change instantly. I promise that the change occurred in the past week, and the shift came from that pre-release. Prior to that, you saw how the Trade Activity Log was reporting wrong when "All Symbols" was selected. That has been fixed, and I appreciate that. And, the Trading Profit and Loss Text report correctly in the "Open PL", but the instant I close the trade it goes from $500 to $0.02 (or something equally way off, just making that up for example.

Thanks.

no, really , that is sarcasm. Honestly, I LOVE Sierra Chrt, just my preference. It does things that I find intuitive, and does not crash and burn like so many of it's competitors. But, it does have an issue with the JPY, and I am trying to just ride it out

We have enough information. Please make no further postings until we have time to look into the PL issue.
