Dear Support, On my quote board session times appear to be different for Metals and Indexes, they are resetting at the different times - Metals (GC/SI) session times are resetting much earlier than Index (ES, MQ, etc.) My understanding is that Quote Board Session Times are based either on Global Time setting or on specific chart Time settings, but I have failed to identify the way to adjust them. Hence, I have 2 questions: 1. How can I determine what specific chart the Quote board is derived from (I have multiple charts in the chartbook) 2. Where can I find the Time settings specifically for the quote board? |

the symbols on the quote-board reset at the settlement of the former pit-sessions: Index: 9:30 am ET to 4:00 pm ET Metals: 8:20 am ET to 1:30 pm ET Energy: 9:00 am ET to 2:30 pm ET |

Thank you for your reply, I have suspected that. Since the Pit sessions are an absolute as of long time ago, is there a way to control when they reset on the Quote Board? Daily percent change and price change are valuable information data points; it makes no sense to keep reseting them in the middle of the day.

I'm sure someone from support will give you the correct answer, but you can be sure, there are no pit's anymore, but the session-time still works great :) i.e. watch a Crude Oil chart at 9:00 am ET (open) and between 2:00 pm ET and 2:30 pm ET (close) and you'll be surprised :) and just to clarify, Settlement-prices are way more important as the closing-prices, in my opinion absolute no need to change anything, but of course, every trader has different needs. Just go to the CME-group homepage and you'll see that the exchange also uses settlement-price (as you can see on the quoteboard) and not the closing price. |
