Does the clock show for you in this chartbook? I don't see it, colors are different from the chart background. It's visible in the chart drawings dialog (see image). In the main chartbook this chart was pulled from, there are other text displays that do not show up, so the clock is just one example. Using global graphics settings and every font in my global is Seguoe UI. |

Yes we do see the clock without doing anything other than opening the Chartbook: https://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=1767201420863.png Are you using OpenGL? Maybe this is some OpenGL issue. More context...adding a new clock does not work, Type Text from Tools does work, and Stationary Text does not work. Issue inside AddAndManageSingleTextDrawingForStudy??? My custom study that uses Sierra graphics DrawTextAt works. Unsure if this helps the investigation or not. 2025-12-31 10:42:38.104 | Software version: 2847 64-bit 2025-12-31 10:42:38.104 | OpenGL enabled (NVIDIA Corporation/NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti/PCIe/SSE2) |

Despite using only Global settings and only using 1 font in Global settings, it appears that Segoe size 20 does not want to display. This is a pretty simple chart, no other studies, and not too many font sizes. I got the clock to display by setting clock width down to 12pt, and 19pt also works. 20pt fails. I noticed this when opening a different chart book and the clock was there. I was able to fix Stationary Text same way only because we are able to edit properties from Manage Drawings Dialog. I tried switching chart text to Tahoma and also the study and size 20 seems busted there also. Knowing this, my current workaround is setting different defaults till further resolution is achieved. This won't help existing studies/charts, but perhaps a re-evaluation of the defaults for scsf_LargeTextDisplayForStudyFromChart, scsf_LargeTextDisplayForStudy, scsf_TextDisplayFromSpreadsheet, scsf_ClockRealTime and other studies with ".LineWidth = 20;" will help mitigate this issue for new studies. Personally 20 was always gigantic for me and I many times bump it down to 8-12, but I am not running 4k or 8k monitors either. |
