Hi: This buy order from my spreadsheet system for trading is filled, but immediately exits. I don’t know why. It should be entering with a SL and TP as specified in my spreadsheet system for trading, which usually works just fine for setting and modifying my SL and TP. However for a few orders, it does this were it exits immediately. Attached is the Trade Actvity log. You can also see from my spreadsheet attached that the SL and TP levels are nowhere near where it exits. I’ve also attached the settings for my Spreadsheet system. I believe my Trade Management by Study is set up correctly, as it usually works just fine setting the SL and TP levels. What could be happening here? thanks |

We can not say what is occurring, as there are too many possibilities, and we simply do not have access to the information. You need to look at everything, step-by-step, and determine what is occurring that is causing this issue. Keep in mind that even if you have working orders, if you are setting an "Exit" option in the spreadsheet, then you could be closing the position due to that field going true.

There is no buy or sell exit in the spreadsheet. What else could be occurring as I really don’t know where else to look. Attached is the screenshot of the order I forgot to send it before.

What could be happening here? thanks The Trade Management by Study study only uses the price in row 3. If a former or incorrect price is there at a new entry, it could cause an immediate exit. You might not want to use a persistent value, but rather zero until the entry occurs. The TMS study will ignore zeros. You can use cells J80/J81 to set initial offsets, so you have some TP and SL at an entry, then the formulas go none-zero with the correct SL/TP prices. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2025-12-18 14:04:00
