I am having two issues. When I enter a stop above or below last traded price on the bid/offer, I have configured a simple buy stop or sell stop. But, the dom is showing a buy stop - limit with a 5 handle range to purchase. I do not want a buy stop - limit, i just want it to generate a buy stop. I just changed my routing to teton from CQG and this started happening automatically. My gobal settings and chart dom settings are all showing buy or sell stop, but generating as buy stop - limit.

Also, I tried to enter a crude trade this morning, and the following error happened:
2025-12-15 10:38:05.390 | Teton CME Routing (Order reject). Info: Trade Order Error - Current date is beyond LastTradingDateForSymbol: 2025-12-13. Internal Order ID: 12851. Service Order ID: 7243146. Symbol: CLF26_FUT_CME. Account:

Can someone please advise how I can get above last or below last to generate as a buy stop or sell stop. And, can someone please advise why this error would be generating in Crude?

With regards to the Stop becoming a Stop-Limit, refer to the following:
Order Types: Stop Orders on the CME

The end of trading is coming up for the F 2026 contract for Crude Oil. Officially, the end of trading for CL is defined as follows (from the CME Group website):
Trading terminates 3 business day before the 25th calendar day of the month prior to the contract month. If the 25th calendar day is not a business day, trading terminates 4 business days before the 25th calendar day of the month prior to the contract month.

Since the 25th and the 24th are holidays, we would think that the end of trading would be December 20th in this case. So we recommend changing to the G 2026 contract for trading at this time.

But, we will double check on why you are getting that error at this time.

Is there anyway to change it to where it represents a stop order and not a stop - limit order? Or, do I have to use that with Teton? It did not do this with CQG routing.

I like to roll on volume, which has yet to be greater in the CLG contract. Please let me know what fix you come up with.

Thanks.

It did do this with CQG. If you were not seeing it in the chart, then that was just due to CQG not reporting back to Sierra Chart that there was actually a change to the order itself. But this is how the CME Group deals with Stop orders in general.

This is in part controlled by the broker and it cannot be changed:
