bug in version 1202?

I just updated to version 1202. There seems to be a problem after moving the mouse cursor from any position outside of the trading dom back inside the trading dom; instead of the simple arrow cursor, the mouse cursor displays the horizontal arrow (arrow pointing left and right). (which you normally only see when you position the mouse over the edge of a window in order to change its size). the only way to avoid this is to move the mouse cursor very slowly back over the edge inside the trading dom. (For clarification: I trade through the separate trade dom, not the chart trade dom).

Update: even when the cursor stays within the boundaries of the trading dom, it can change from simple arrow to horizontal arrow, which is extremely annoying, especially if you are very active during the trading season and have to move the cursor a lot. you can still execute all functions with the horizontal arrow, but it is more difficult to hit the small boxes of pending orders, for example if you want to change the size of a pending order, move the order, or cancel the order by hitting the "x" box.

Update2: during sim trading, it happened several times that i wanted to quickly cancel a pending order by hitting the "x" box in the dom, and accidently hit the buy column right of the "x" because the horizontal arrow is too big to allow precise execution. this is a serious issue and needs to be resolved!

I just updated sierrachart to the newest version (prerelease version this time) on a second computer with a different sc layout and trade dom layout. same problem here. never happened before, so i guess it has something to do with the new version of sc.

One other thing I forgot to mention: I have the trade window detached from the trade dom. If I attach the trade window to the trade dom, the described problem does not exist when moving the mouse into the trade dom from the left side. When the trade window is detached from the trade dom, the problem occurs from both sides when moving into the trade dom.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce this behavior even with the new info. We have tried all combinations of attached/detached windows and we always see the standard pointer cursor in the main portion of the TradeDOM.

Can you attach a simple chartbook that exhibits the problem? Also, are you using the Pencil Cursor in Draw Mode (Tools >> Tool Settings >> Switch To Pencil Cursor In Draw Mode)?

We have made a change that may address this. It will be available in ver 1204.

No, I don´t use the pencil cursor in draw mode. I tried making a hardcopy of the problem, but in the hardcopy you can´t see any cursor at all. I never had this problem with older versions of SC, only after the latest update. I trade through Amp/TTnet, so I need the newest version of SC.

I just shot two pics with my cellphone, as the normal screenshot won´t capture the problem (cursor not visible). Is there an email address that I can send them to?

We do not need the picture, as we understand what you mean by the cursor being wrong. Above we asked for the chartbook, as it allows us to recreate the same chart setup. At this point, wait for ver 1204 and lets see if it is addressed.
