Hi! Today, for the first time, my scroll bar at the bottom of all my charts isn't working. Previously I was able to click on the little gray box in the scroll bar and drag it to where I wanted it. I can no longer move it. Also, I can click on the far left arrow on the scroll bar and the chart will move but I when I click on the far right arrow, it won't move. The only way I can get the chart to move again is to use the hand tool. Can you help me determine what is wrong with the scroll bar? I wasn't on the most up-to-date version of Sierra so I downloaded it and still have the same issue. Thanks much.

Does the scrollbar show in a disabled state? Although it does not sound like it. This is unusual what you are describing. We want you to restart Sierra Chart. To get to the end of the chart you can go to Chart >> Goto End of Chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Good morning. I did Chart >> Go to End of Chart and also restarted Sierra. Still the same problem. I can use the far left arrow but not the far right arrow and I cannot drag the little gray box in the scroll bar. There is one exception. I have 20+ charts in this one Chartbook. One of the charts is a weekly ES chart. If I hit the far left arrow on the scroll bar on this chart, the gray box in the scroll bar moves back about half way on the screen. If I hit it again, the gray box goes all the way to the left end. Then I can drag the gray box to the right. Once the gray box is all the way to the right again, I can't drag it left. Very strange.

In addition to the above, I can't open certain charts in my Chartbook. I click on them and they won't open. They are all the charts on the right end of my Chartbook. Additionally, there are more charts on the far right but the only way I can see their tabs or get to them is to hit the tiny little right arrow on the far right bottom next to my other tabs. Nothing happens when I hit this arrow so it won't take me to the additional charts in the Chartbook.

Please try the following on a chart which has the issue with the scroll bar: - Make sure the chart is selected and is the active chart - Select "Chart >> Show Scrollbar (this should remove the scrollbar from the chart) - Select "Chart >> Show Scrollbar (this will display the scrollbar again) Let us know if this resolves the problem. We are not sure we understand the issue with accessing the charts. Are you not able to get to the tabs, or is the chart not actually changing to that chart when you select the tab? Also, are you referring to the tabs within the Sierra Chart software? Or are the charts detached and this is the operating systme task bar that displays the charts? Keep in mind that you can use the "CW" menu to select a specific chart if another method is not working. Hey John! I went to each chart and removed the scrollbar and then added it again. Still the same problem. Something interesting though is just 1 chart shows the scrollbar at the bottom but the little gray box that sits in the scrollbar and allows you to drag it left and right isn't there. The scrollbar is but not the box. There is only 1 chart like this. I can see my tabs but when I click on the tab, nothing happens. In other words, I can't change to that chart. They will display if I use the "CW" menu. This is a new issue. Yesterday I could click on the tabs and that chart would display. I don't believe my charts are detached. I've never done this and really don't know how to do it. Also, still can't use the small arrows that sit on the bottom right next to my tabs. This usually allows me to see additional tabs to the right or left if there are more than what my screen will display. Thanks, again. |

Hi John! I've been playing with this for a while and I think I have it resolved. I work on a MAC and have had to install Parallels to be able to use Sierra. I decided to download the latest version of Parallels and restart my machine. That seems to have fixed the problem. Very strange. Thanks for all your assistance with this.

Glad you figured it out. There are things like this that do occur when running on an emulator.
