Chart loading more data than requested

Hi. I have a chart with the data limiting set to 'date range' and a range of one year (2020-2021). I also have it set to continuous rollover volume based. Whenever I load the chart, it loads all contracts 2020-2025. Is this normal? It's time consuming and I'm wondering if there's a way to restrict it to just loading the 2020 year's data that is displayed.

This is normal and is how the system works. We did look into changing this, but it caused other issues, so we do not see this changing in the future. But, we have noted it as a Feature Request. We just can not say when we would get to any particular request.
