Continuous Micro Bitcoin (MBT) futures rollover settings

Hi all, I tried creating a continuous historical chart for MBT but got the error "rollover method is not defined". I found instructions to update the rollover method in global symbol settings. According to CME, the contract expires on the last Friday of the contract month. Can you please confirm if the setting configuration in the attached image are correct? Thanks. |

The "Rollover Method" should be set for this. The symbol in Sierra Chart for Interactive Brokers is "MBT-######-CME-USD-0.1". If this is the symbol you are using, then the Rollover Method should be set to "Last Friday of the Contract Month (Method16)". You should not need to change this. If you did change it, then you should be able to select the "Reset to Default" button when that entry is selected. If that is the symbol you are using and it did not have an entry for the Continuous Contract, then update your symbol settings by following these instructions: Global Symbol Settings: Update Symbol Settings Then try to reset the setting. If you are using a different symbol, then we are wondering why this is the case? Hi John, Thanks for the quick reply. I tried the update from server option and it still shows no rollover method. When I tried picking Method 16 in the custom settings and it wasn't in the list. I'm using SC version 2755. I am using IB as my broker and I have the denali feed for my regular futures trading (ES, NQ). I picked the MBT instrument from the default available in the Find Symbol list. I thought it would take the data via denali but seems its using IB? Not sure what the problem is honestly. |

There was an issue with a few releases about the one that you are on, related to the rollover settings for MBT. You need to update to the latest release in order to get everything working properly. Follow these instructions to update: Software Download: Fast Update After you update the system, then do the Symbol Update again as well. You should be fine after that.
